Description: Technology mediated instruction on the web is not equally accessible to everyone.  Many people depend on text readers to read web pages for them.  Besides, there are many who cannot use pointing devices such as a mouse.  We must take into account these individuals when designing computer based instructional materials and web pages. In this presentation we will cover issues associated with complying with section 508, developing accessible online courses, and identifying resources for disabled students and available accessibility training programs for instructors.  This session will focus on the human side of accessibility issues.
